Network Releasing is delighted to announce the availability of sci-fi comedy classic, directed by Basil Dearden: MAN IN THE MOON (Cert. TBC) on DVD on 20th July 2009, RRP £9.99.

Kenneth More (Battle of Britain) is Mr. Normal, William Blood, yet he is at the same time very strange. He appears to have an inability to worry and to become ill. This strange physical phenomenon allows him to make a living working as a human guinea pig. Perhaps inevitably, fate comes a-calling during one particular assignment, when he chances upon a beautiful woman running to the railway station. But surely he is also immune to the charms of women… or so he thought.

As he bumps into the young lady, Polly again, he is also on the verge of being sent to the moon, since a team of NASTI scientists do not wish to risk the lives of experienced and well-trained astronauts… but this time, William realises that there might just be the beginning of a totally new kind of “illness” developing within himself…

Shirley Anne Field (Saturday Night Sunday Morning) also delivers incomparable performance in this marvellously madcap sci-fi comedy penned by the multi-award winning Bryan Forbes (Séance on a Wet Afternoon) and Oscar-nominated Michael Relph (An Unsuitable Job for a Woman). This is a classic that cannot be missed.
