'LYMELIFE' PICKED UP FOR UK DISTRIBUTION BY NETWORK RELEASING 08/04/2010

Network Releasing Acquires All UK Rights to

MARTIN SCORSESE'S LYMELIFE

Independent UK distributor and publisher Network Releasing has inked a deal for the TV, theatrical and DVD rights for American Indie family drama LYMELIFE. Executive produced by Martin Scorsese and starring Alec Baldwin, Cynthia Nixon, Rory and Kieran Culkin and Emma Roberts, the film won the International Critics Awards at the Toronto Film Festival. It will be released at UK cinemas on 25th June 2010.

Produced by Derick and Steven Martini and directed by Derick Martini, the film is set in the late 1970s in Long Island, New York, chronicling the disintegration of two families (The Bartletts and Braggs) when tangled relationships, real estate problems and an outbreak of Lyme's disease hit a small suburban community. Told from the perspective of Scott Bartlett (Kieran Culkin) a timid boy radically different from his philandering father played by Alec Baldwin, matters really heat up when Jimmy (Rory Culkin) returns home on leave from the army and Scott Bartletts's affair with Melissa Bragg (Cynthia Nixon) becomes all too obvious to Baldwin's long suffering wife played by Jill Hennessy and her children. Tension mounts as Scott harbours secret feelings for Melissa's daughter Adrianna (played by Emma Roberts).

A semi-autobiographical tale about the American dream gone wrong, LYMELIFE is a quirky film with a cracking script plus excellent performances from a stellar cast. LYMELIFE was also produced by Alec Baldwin.

Commenting on the acquisition Network Releasing's Managing Director Tim Beddows said, "We are delighted to have picked up UK rights to LYMELIFE as we continue to bolster our film library and cement the company's position as a distributor of quality alternative cinema."
