NETWORK RELEASING ACQUIRES ALL UK RIGHTS TO ASIAN SLASHER MOVIE 'DREAM HOME' 13/08/2010

Network Releasing has picked up all UK rights to Pang Ho-Cheung's DREAM HOME (18 TBC), the first slasher movie about the horrors of the current housing crisis in China starring pop singer and actress Josie Ho. The UK independent has set 12th November 2010 for the film's UK theatrical release and acquired the film in a deal with Fortissimo Sales.

A cut-throat film about the cut-throat property market, Josie Ho stars as thirty-something Cheng Lai-Sheung, the daughter of a dying builder, who sells home loans by phone in the hope of one day being able to buy her dream home in Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour. But when she finally has enough money for the deposit the owners decide to raise the price and this sends her on a serial-killing rampage using only household and construction items to slay her prey.

Told through an intricate series of flashbacks DREAM HOME will appeal to gore lovers and arthouse move-goers alike, with many elaborate killings and a deliciously dark sense of humour running throughout the film. A chilling satire on the housing and economic crisis affecting Asians, the subject matter will also resonate with people trying to buy homes in the UK.

Commented Managing Director Tim Beddows, "This topical horror movie is going to create a buzz amongst horror and world cinema fans in the UK and we are delighted to have secured the deal."

DREAM HOME is an 852 Production produced by Josie Ho, Conroy Chan and Andrew Ooi.
