Netwok has secured Diego Luna's directorial debut and Xavier Dolan's 'I Killed My Mother' follow up. UK distribution company Network Releasing has picked up theatrical, DVD and TV rights to Diego Luna's directorial debut 'Abel' and Xavier Dolan's Canadian teen movie 'Heartbeats'.

The London-based company secured the rights to Luna's comedy drama about a 9 year old boy who assumes the patriarchal role after his father deserts the family, from Cinetic Media.

Christopher Ruiz-Esparza and Karina Gidi star in the film, which overtook 'Shakespeare In Love' to become the highest grossing opening film in Mexico ever when it opened in May.

Meanwhile, Canadian director Xavier Dolan's follow up to 'I Killed My Mother' is about a ménage a trios amongst a group of teenagers, and stars Monika Chokri, Niels Schneider and Dolan himself. Network Releasing acquired the title from Rezo.

Both films will be released in the UK in 2011.
